When I logged in today I was surprised I hadn’t been here for over a year. What have I been doing for a year?
I had a child. My perspective on building a company changed after this. For the next 9 months I took time off work. It was a luxury I could afford, and I’m glad I did. Those early months are some that I will cherish forever. My son has developed so quickly. He crawls, he smiles, he laughs. Watching a human develop is a blessing. I don’t regret it.
Yet, I’m still surprised. 9 months is a long time to take off of a career. At least from societies perspective a man doesn’t do that. I guess I don’t care much what society thinks. But I do care about my career. And career wise, I’ve spent very little time developing my company. That changed this week, when I officially started full time on it. So let’s see where that takes us. I’m looking forward to writing again.
