At Boomering we’re building product now. Over the last month I have spent most of my time with designers and developers in Figma and Google Docs and Github. At the moment, I’m the only full time employee; even so I’ve been lucky enough to work with some incredibly talented people. Recruitment hasn’t been at the top of my list because building product occupies that space. I’m not sure that’s the best way to go about it. It might have been easier to recruit a team and then build. Instead I’ve leveraged my network and contracted out most of the work. My goal is to build a product and then use that to recruit people into the company. Covid has made networking harder and that just seemed like the right way to do things. I’m probably wrong. We will see.
