Changes To This Blog

I’ve been blogging now for around 10 years. I lost the first five years hackers, and this current format has chugged along with inconsistent results for a few years now. I originally started writing the blog because I thought I had interesting things to say. I had just moved to Africa, and was working in fintech. We built some incredible products and I learned a lot along that journey. However, over the last three years I’ve moved into a different phase in my life. While Africa will always be my home, my current life is far more European focused. I live in Berlin and am building a company here. As a result, I’m going to shift the focus of this blog to more a more European tech focus, as well as a consumer tech focus.

If I’m being honest the quality of this blog has suffered as I haven’t written regularly, nor with the passion I once had. I’m hoping that changes as I write more about what I am living. I hope you enjoy more on the consumer and European side. My goal is to bring together my experience in Africa as a Fintech operator, with my experience here in Europe as a consumer entrepreneur. That intersection should provide some valuable insights. I have also changed the format and style of the webpage. From now on you will see images of Berlin graffiti for each post. These have nothing to do with the blog, but are just art I find interesting around the streets of Berlin.
