My Product Manager Pivot

My career has been business facing for the last 10 years.  I’ve been GM of a tech startup, and now I’m a relationship/negotiation person for another startup.  I want to be a product manager, and I’m taking steps now to make that happen. I got into tech because building products appeals to me.  Putting good products into people’s hands and seeing them enjoy them drives me.  I’ve been put into other roles because that’s what the company needed at the time.  But now, I want to do what I want to do.  I’ve done a bit of research on it, and unsurprisingly, the best way to become a product manager is to build products, but there are other useful frameworks to think about as well.  The two below outline those.  The first defines how a product manager spends their time.  The second categorizes the type of product managers you would usually find in Silicon Valley.  I think a good product manager is worth their weight in gold, and I hope to be that one day.
