Ray Dalio’s book is legit.\u00a0 It’s crystalizing a lot of the work I’ve read on mental models, while also putting down some great insight into execution.\u00a0 One key takeaway for me right now is his five step\u00a0process to achieving your goals.<\/p>\n

  1. Have Clear Goals<\/li>\n
  2. Identify and don’t tolerate the problems that stand in the way of those goals<\/li>\n
  3. Accurately diagnose the problems to get at their root causes<\/li>\n
  4. Design plans that will get you around them<\/li>\n
  5. Do what’s necessary to push these designs through to results.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    He expands on these in great detail.\u00a0 It’s worth picking up a copy.<\/p>\n

    I’m in the process of defining my goals, but here are the main areas they fall into.<\/p>\n

    1. Crypto<\/li>\n
    2. App Development<\/li>\n
    3. Build relationships<\/li>\n
    4. Greek Mythology<\/li>\n
    5. Mental Models<\/li>\n
    6. Ukelele<\/li>\n
    7. Writing<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      As I drill down on these I’ll define the goals in each of these areas, and apply the five step process to achieve them.<\/p>\n
