Recovering From Jetlag

Jetlag causes a massive efficiency problem for me. I struggle to think clearly, my energy is low, and I fail at motivation. It’s particularly discouraging as I’m usually none of those things. So I’ve developed some tactics for dealing with jetlag. My routine right now is:

  1. No alcohol
  2. Exercise
  3. Checklists (no big strategic thinking at work, just getting things done)
  4. Lots of water and tea

This helps me recover about two days faster than I usually would. I find that for a trip from the US to Africa, I’m usually fine on the third day now.
